sensory, material, & digital anthropology

After finishing an MSc in Visual, Material and Museum Anthropology together at Oxford University’s Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, the contributors to this blog were keen to keep their anthropological brains engaged. We will share our thoughts on sensory, material, and digital anthropology through blog posts, reviews of exhibitions, ethnographic film, and conferences, photo-essays, and podcasts.

We hope the blog will be of interest to museum professionals and academics working in sensory anthropology, visual and material culture, and digital anthropology, as well as anyone interested in thinking about how individuals and communities shape themselves through culture.
